The rules are simple: I put the self-timer on 2 seconds, push the button and try to get as far from the camera as I can.

I read your "rules" and made the following argument....
this guy is further from the camera in the first picture and seems to be closer in the older pics.

Hmm. After looking at them all, you don't seem to be speeding up at all after all that running, you seem to be acheiving the exact same distance from the camera in every one!
May I suggest the following for the next one. Running shoes on feet. Enlist the aid of starter blocks. Less clothing means more speed so just vest and shorts. No food eaten before the run away, less weight to carry.

These are great shots. I think it would be interesting if you kept a tally on your sight to see which leg is in the air more when you take the picture. Could be a cool stat. Very cool.
